Classic Blueberry Pie or Blackberry Pie
Use 1/4 cup cornstarch instead of flour.  If using frozen berries, thaw, cook juice with cornstarch and sugar to thicken. Stir in berries and put in pie shell.

  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup shortening
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons cold water

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, if desired
  • 6 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, if desired
