Ingredients
  • 10 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 5 cans tomato soup
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 3½ tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 4 tsp. allspice
  • 3½ tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 scant tsp. celery seed
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
Steps
  1. Mix all but meat together.
  2. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes while hamburger browns.
  3. Add meat to sauce.
  4. Cook slowly at least ½ hour.
