Great On the Go Make before Hand Dish (R1 approved) Prep time: 10min Cook Time 5min

Servings: 1

Servings: 1
Ingredients
  • 1whole Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 cup of Red Cabbage
  • 1 cup of Green Cabbage
  • 5.5 oz of Ahi Tuna
  • 1 tablespoon of a healthy fat oil (coconut, avocado or grapeseed oil)
  • Ginger root
  • apple cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper
Steps
  1. Salt and pepper your Tuna Steak
  2. In a non-stick frying pan add one table spoon of your oil choice and sear your Tuna steak to desired temperature (I like mine more on the rare side so I do a very quick sear on both sides.
  3. While your tuna steak is resting you prepare your slaw by chopping your red and green cabbage
  4. Your apple you can either slice thinly (I used a mandolin to make straw like apple slices)  or use a "spiralizer" like a zoodler tool  in order to give it more of a noodle effect.
  5. Grate some of your ginger root over your slaw and add  a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar along with a little lemon zest and juice from your lemon
  6. Slice your Tuna Steak and add to your slaw
  7. Finish with a little salt and pepper
  8. Enjoy!!!!
