Nutritional Stacy's Home Made Chicken Broth
Great to store and cook with  Prep Time: 5min Cook time: 3-4hours

Ingredients
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ Onion (sliced not chopped)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 whole uncooked chicken
Steps
  1. Place your chicken in a large pot and add your salt and pepper, onion and garlic. Fill pot with water till the water is about 1" above the chicken. Cover and simmer on low heat for 3 to 4 hours (depending on how large of a chicken you have).
  2. Drain the juice into a bowl and either discard the garlic and onion or keep it and pull apart your chicken and use it with the garlic and onions as you would like.
  3. Store in glass jars if keeping in the fridge (will keep for about a week). If storing in the freezer store in a plastic container for several months (glass containers have broken on me in the past when used in the freezer).
