30-Minute Margherita Pasta
Ingredients
  • 16 ounces rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup yellow onions, chopped
  • 2 cups Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups chicken broth
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped and divided
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
