Southern Sweet Potato Pie

Recipe from Momas place in Iowa Park Texas in 1992 ! This recipe goes back to my great great Grandma. She made it from scratch & now I do, it is the best pie ever. if you make more than 1 at a time you can double & triple this recipe as I do. I make the pie filling for 7 pies at a time, I will make 2 and freeze the rest. add 3 or 4 cups of pie filling to a quart size ziplock & freeze. Original recipe makes 1 to 9 inch pie

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons butter, softened

2 eggs, beaten

½ cup white sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon salt

½ tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp groung cinnamon

½ tsp ground allspice

½ cup buttermilk

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
