Ingredients
  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 16 oz. can of red kidney beans
  • 1 10 oz. can of Rotel tomatoes (diced tomatoes with green chilies). I use either the original or the mild. (Original is spicier than the mild)
  • 1 14.5 oz. Of diced tomatoes
  • 10 oz. Tomato juice
  • Salt - To taste
  • Pepper - To taste
  • Chili powder - To taste
Steps
  1. Brown ground beef and onions
  2. Add remaining ingredients
  3. Bring to boil - simmer until heated through
  4. Serve
Notes
  • This can be made in the crock pot.
  • I have also used dried beans and made it in he instant pot following the directions for cooking the dried beans.
  • I have made it with black beans instead of the kidney beans. Substituting can for can.
  • I have made it using both black beans and kidney beans.
