Potato dish that my family loved and I can't remember
loading...
did I make it up? did I find it? I emailed it to myself at 9/15/19.
Ingredients
- 1 medium shallot, minced
- 2 small garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- .5 tsp salt
- 2 pounds potatoes
- 1 cup cream
- dried thyme
- pepper
- 1% milk
- pecorino/fontina mix of cheese, enough to cover dish.
Steps
- Heat the oil in a shallow skillet. Sauté shallot and garlic cloves in the olive oil. Add the salt and cook until brown. Add the potatoes, cream, dried thyme, pepper, enough 1% milk to cover all the potatoes. Move the potatoes around to get the cream to coat them. Continue to simmer until cream thickens. Cover, put in 375°F oven for 40 minutes. Remove cover. Sprinkle with pecorino/fontina mix, back to oven to brown.
