  • 1 cup dried garbanzo beans, soaked overnight (180 g / DO NOT USE CANNED OR COOKED BEANS FOR THIS. DRIED IS CORRECT)
  • ½ of a red onion, cut into quarters
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and left whole
  • ¼ cup parsley (10 g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds (aka flaxseed meal)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper (about 5 turns)
