Made with frozen puff pastry sheets

Servings: 8 per sheet

Servings: 8 per sheet
Ingredients
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (I bought from Trader Joe's)
  • 1 large sweet onion
  • Gruyere Cheese
Steps
  1. Thaw a sheet of puff pastry.
  2. While thawing, slize the onion thinly, heat 2 tablespoons oil in Instant Pot, turn saute function on the lowest of the three settings. Let the onion carmelize for 30 minutes (or more if desired). My 6qt. Lux Instant Pot doesn't even require that I watch, the onion carmelizes perfectly.)
  3. Use a pizza slicer to cut the pastry sheet into 8 equal squares.
  4. Top with some carmelized onion and finely grated Gruyere cheese.
  5. Bring the corners of the pastry squares up to meet and pinch together.
  6. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10  minutes until browned on the edges. (Watch because oven's vary - I used a toaster oven)
Notes
  • It's a savory treat that is almost like a dessert. So yummy.
