Instant pot spaghetti by Tarah- no straining required!

Servings: 4

Servings: 4
Ingredients
  • 1 box spaghetti noodles
  • 1 small jar Prego
  • ½ cup diced onion(or mushrooms)
  • 1lb lean meat( I used venison)
  • 1tbsp minced garlic
  • 1tbsp seasoned salt
  • 1tsp pepper
  • 1tbsp parsley
  • 1tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (I used Colby jack)
  • Water
Steps
  1. Spray IP with nonstick spray
  2. Break pasta in half and spread evenly in criss cross pattern of layers(as shown in the picture)
  3. Add enough water to almost reach the top of the pasta(about half inch dry noodles on top)
  4. Drizzle in olive oil across the pasta
  5. Sprinkle the raw meat you are using across the pasta evenly
  6. Sprinkle seasonings on the meat
  7. Spread diced onion across meat
  8. Pour jar of sauce on top and DO NOT STIR
  9. place lid on..put vent in sealed position..cook on high manual(or pressure cook setting) for half the pasta package time. The box I used said 8 to 12 minutes.. so I set my timer to 6 minutes. ALWAYS use highest suggestion and cutbit in half.
  10. After cook time..quick release steam
  11. Stir to break the noodles up if any are sticking together
  12. Add in cheese of your choice to thicken the sauce and serve
  13. Enjoy!
Notes
  • 1 pot cleanup and no need to saute meat first!
  • Also, if you add in mushrooms or peppers as well..remember they are mostly water so you will need more cheese to thicken the spaghetti.
