Pre-packaged corned beef with spice packet- any size will do. I used a 3 pound corned beef

6 to 8 large carrots-cut into 3 inch pieces

1 head of cabbage- quartered

6 red potatoes-quartered

1 tablespoon of garlic-minced

4 cups of water
