Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • ¼ Cup cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  •  
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  •  
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Nuts
Steps
  1. Put cocoa,butter, water in saucepan to boil. Cool.
  2. In separate bowl mix sugar, flour and salt. Pour cocoa mixture over top.
  3. Combine buttermilk and baking soda and add to cocoa mixture.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Put into greased 10 x 15” pan.
  6. Bake for approx. 30min at 350° Convection bake
  7. Icing
  8. ½ Cup cocoa
  9. ½ Cup butter
  10. 2 cups icing sugar
  11. 1 tsp vanilla
  12. ¼ C buttermilk
  13. Dash salt
  14. Melt butter, cocoa and buttermilk- add icing sugar slowly
  15. Spread over warm cake, top with sliced almonds
