  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (I use Tabasco)
  • 1⁄4 cup vegetable or canola oil

  • 2 tablespoonss olive oil
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1⁄4 cup green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoonss fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish
  • subheading: Pasta and Cream Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoonss olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1⁄2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoonss butter
  • 4 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3⁄4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt, for pasta water
  • 1 pound farfalle (bowtie) pasta
  • 1⁄4 cup reserved pasta water
