THE ORIGINAL ENDLESS BAKERY CINNAMON ROLL

Servings: 12 LARGE OR 24 SMALL ROLLS
Ingredients
  • 1 package instant yeast (2¼ tsp)
  • ½ Cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all purpose wheat flour
  • 2 plant based eggs
  • ⅓ Cup plant butter softened
  • 1 cup plant based milk warmed to 110 degrees
  •  
  • Filling
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ Cup plant based butter almost melted
  •  
  • Icing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ Cup plant based milk
  • 1 Tbsp plant based butter melted
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
Steps
  1. 1. Add sugar, flour, salt and yeast to bowl to mix
  2. 2. Wet ingredients- mix milk, butter, egg to mixing bowl, knead with dough hook or by hand until it forms a ball.
  3. 3. Let dough rest 15 minutes covered
  4. 4. Roll dough into a rectangle shape on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness
  5. 5. Mix filling ingredients- cinnamon and brown sugar, spread butter evenly on surface of rolled out dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture covering completely.
  6. 6. Roll dough into a log and cut into 12 even rounds. You can use floss.
  7. 7. Place rolls in a greased or parchment lined pan and let rise in a warm area covered until double in size( about 45 min)
  8. 8. Preheat oven to 350
  9. 9. Bake for 20minutes or until lightly brown.
  10. 10. Make icing by mixing.
  11. 11. Spread icing over warm rolls
Notes
  • Gluten free use 3 cups of gluten free mix for flour with xanthan gum or a gluten free bread mix. The dough will be sticky so you may need a bit more flour. Gloves can help mix
