  • Char the onion and ginger under a broiler or over an open flame until blackened. This adds depth to the broth’s flavor. Boil the beef bones in a large pot of water for about 10 minutes to clean them. Drain, rinse the bones and the pot, and then refill the pot with about 4 liters of clean water.
