Search any European country to bring up traditional recipes from that country, as well as a traditional alcoholic beverage or cocktail from that country. [The Balkan countries have been combined: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia]

Kazakhstan is not known for any cocktails other than ones involving fermented horse milk - however, Kazakhstan is known for vodka, and known for apples.

1½ oz. Russian Standard Vodka

¾ oz. Lemon Juice

⅔ oz. Berentzen Apple Liqueur

⅔ oz. Apple Juice

1 oz. Demerara Simple Syrup

1 Apple

Fill a shaker with ice and all of the ingredients except for the Apple garnish. Shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty, about 20 seconds. Strain into a cocktail (martini) glass. Garnish with a thin slice of apple speared with a cocktail pick.
