  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 7 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 14 oz can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup cooked or canned chickpeas
  • 2 ½ cups vegetable broth
  • salt, pepper to taste

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • chili or jalapeño slices for heat
  • parsley, coriander minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric
